A BIRTHDAY TO REMEMBER
Today so many people made me feel so wanted and good that I felt not only honoured and loved but the desire to do more for society and students was rekindled in me. My day started by receiving blessings from my parents and greetings and good wishes from my wife, Children, family members, and friends.
At approximately 11 AM the Col of the Regiments representative Sub Vijay Patil and sep Ganesh walked into my house and presented me with a lovely plant and a message from Maj Gen Naranayanan. The JCO sub-Patil had served as my buddy during operations while I was commanding the unit in the years 1999 and 2000,
and hence it was a very special meeting. At 1 PM the boys and girls from the ongoing SSB batch organized a beautiful cake-cutting and lunch party. I am thankful to them for their, respect, love, and affection. In the evening at 5 pm, the boys and girls from the NDA batch and the students of the Sainik school batch organized a cake-cutting and tea party. The Sainik school students organized an on-the-spot birthday card-making competition. The song singing by the children added to the flavour. At 8 pm we had the family dinner graced by my parents and my younger brother’s family. The memories of today’s birthday are very special and I thank all my well-wishers for the same.
