SERVICE SELECTION BOARD (SSB)

SSB stands for Services Selection Board. It is an organization that prepares candidates for admission into the Armed Forces of India such as NDA, CDS/OTA and Naval Academy. The board conducts personality and intelligence tests and interviews to determine suitability. Some tests are paper-based while others involve group tasks or presenting to a panel of assessors.

NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY (NDA)

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is the official examination authority for NDA to recruit eligible applicants in Indian Defence Forces that includes the Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts the National Defence Academy (NDA) exam in various centres across the country.

COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICE EXAM (CDS)

Combined Defence Services CDS OTA Examination. Union Public Service Commission conducts Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination is scheduled to recruit eligible & deserving applicants in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy & Indian Air Force Academy.


AIR FORCE COMMON ADMISSION TEST (AFCAT)

Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) Examination. The Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force twice (usually in February and September) every year for the selection of Officers in various branches. The courses will start in the month of January, every year and its online application form will be accessible in the month of December.

RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILITARY COLLEGE (RIMC)

Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) conducts the entrance test for admission to the VIII Class in the RIMC Dehradun for July of the year. Candidates who are interested in taking admission must appear in the Entrance Test. The RIMC Exam for admission to Class VIII in the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun for the July term will be held at the selected centres in the country in the month of December.

SAINIK SCHOOL- All India Sainik School Entrance Exam

Sainik School- All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) Dates. All India Sainik School Entrance Exam (AISSEE) is a written test to be held in the month of January every year (Except Sainik School Nagrota, for which the exam will be conducted in the month of April 2018). AISSEE is conducted for admission to Class VI & Class IX in Sainik Schools. Details of the test are given below.
